# List an NFT for Purchase

As a Verified Creator, you have learned how to create collections on our platform, but your journey is incomplete until you learn how to distribute your creations on the marketplace. For that reason, proceed to read the guide.

{% hint style="info" %}
Only **Verified Creators** can list primary drops from collections created on the Hinata platform. All the **Guest** and **Authenticated** accounts can list drops on the secondary market for resale from both - the Hinata created collections and external whitelisted collections.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

There are 2 paths that lead you to listing your NFT for purchase:

1. Immediately after the NFT is created

After you have successfully created an NFT, you can list it for either sale or auction on our marketplace. If you have just created a new drop, you will have an option to "CHOOSE LISTING FORMAT" for purchase.

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/wnEaLNS6NpgX3saAOA70" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

&#x20;2\. Accessing previously created NFT&#x20;

If you are listing the NFT from within your user profile (accessing the NFT from your collection), first click on the item, and then navigate to the Trade tab within the popup.

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/l12sDtnuQ5WtbHgf4CvI" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="warning" %}
NFTs cannot be delisted or canceled until the sale or auction duration has ended.
{% endhint %}

### Purchase types

Clicking the "CHOOSE THE LISTING FORMAT" button takes you deciding between two purchase types:

* <mark style="color:purple;">Sale</mark>&#x20;
* <mark style="color:purple;">Auction.</mark>

A **sale** consists of a fixed price with limited inventory, available for a specific amount of time.&#x20;

An **auction** requires a starting and reserve price which must be met or exceeded by the end of the auction duration. The reserve price is the minimum bid in order for the smart contract to determine the winner.&#x20;

### Selling an NFT

If you decided to choose "Sale", click on it.&#x20;

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/HVknR95JHx8c2fiC451z" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}
You can place your NFT as a Gasless Listing.
{% endhint %}

Before you move on, you need to confirm your selection.&#x20;

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/xPWcFjEN84ddmE16YZcZ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Your confirmation leads to setting the rest of the options regarding the sale.&#x20;

Start by setting the sale's <mark style="color:purple;">start date</mark> by clicking the calendar icon or dropdown, so that a calendar displays on your screen to choose from. Continue by setting the <mark style="color:purple;">sale duration</mark> from the dropdown (which can last 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 1 month, or 3 months). Next, set the <mark style="color:purple;">quantity</mark> or the number of NFTs you are selling. Finish up with setting the <mark style="color:purple;">price</mark> of the NFT.&#x20;

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/VRk6PKB6hL9Fnv1HZS6I" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Once you are all set, click ![](/files/zBKXQ5PipTcyUEZqbB4i). Your wallet provider will ask for transaction fee confirmation for this action.

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/HXPPPDHXolcOvs0LEbK1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

After you've confirmed it, you are notified of the confirmed and successfully carried out the transaction.

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/p3eeYxG0pNGKryqo9P0J" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Then you are required to cover the gas fee.&#x20;

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/dnJP1X4SX8zGmDKtKaHj" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Once that's carried out, you'd be notified of the transaction confirmation via one pop up, and of the successfully created listing via another. Also, a modal for successful listing will be displayed on your screen giving you the option to view your listed NFT.

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/z75dA1uCYTGFARlmbiqD" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

This is what your NFT looks like under the Info tab:

And this is what your NFT looks like under the Trade tab:

### Auctioning an NFT

If, on the other hand, you decided to choose "Auction", click on it.

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/fjOZKky0HQaqH1kKtIDS" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}
You can place your NFT as a Gasless Listing.
{% endhint %}

Again, you need to confirm your selection.

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/fel4j8A9TCqqrPMVstHd" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Your confirmation leads to setting the rest of the options regarding the auction.&#x20;

Start by setting the auction's <mark style="color:purple;">start date,</mark> via clicking the calendar icon or dropdown, and from the calendar that displays on your screen choose and confirm your settings. Continue by setting the auction <mark style="color:purple;">duration</mark> (which can last 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months) from the dropdown. Finish up with setting the <mark style="color:purple;">starting</mark> and <mark style="color:purple;">reserve</mark> <mark style="color:purple;">price</mark> of the NFT and the <mark style="color:purple;">quantity</mark> or number of NFTs you are selling. &#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
A good starting price is 1 ETH, and a good reserve price can be 5 ETH. The NFT can receive bids at any price above 1. If the auction timer ends with the highest bid below 5 ETH, the auction will be canceled and returned to you. For the last 10 minutes of the auction, any new offer above the reserve price extends the timer another 10 minutes until there are no more bids.
{% endhint %}

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/Aue8Yq3C5VAnZbicuzer" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Once you are all set, click ![](/files/lUFzCjEdn6bPN6yzJDDB). Your wallet provider would ask for transaction confirmation for this action.

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/Bv9Gp4zRJnV0C0XAA1bq" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

After confirming, you'd be notified of the transaction confirmation and the successfully created listing via pop-up(s). A modal for successful listing will also be displayed on your screen giving you the option to view your listed NFT.

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/HzqGZWghys2zVqhcGIEM" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Select your NFT to view it separately.&#x20;

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/vvktfI7YTL0SKEr2f5Mp" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

In addition, you can cancel the auction anytime you want to, until the expiration date, and you can accept the highest bid on your NFT when you feel that it matches (or exceeds) your expectations.

Finally, you can now go to the marketplace, by clicking <img src="/files/OuhD0tnq5MHSfRWN2Cv9" alt="" data-size="line">, and finding your NFT listed there.&#x20;
